The Coalition meets the second Wednesday of every
month,
7:30 a.m.-9 a.m., The Salvation Army, 626 Union Ct., Green Bay,
WI
The
Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition consists of four operating
committees
- Service Providers Committee--Works to
enhance
and
expand shelter and affordable housing opportunities and related support
services in Brown
County through
identification of
needs/gaps
in services, coordination of community/provider collaborations, and
facilitation
of efforts to mobilize available resources and identify funding options
- Special Events Committee--Plans and
implements coalition public events, such as Building Community Bridges
(an information fair for consumers, volunteers, staff, and
organizations that provide services for low income people) and March on
Homelessness (an annual collection for peronal hygience products for
local housing providers)
- Communications Committee--Manages
Coalition Web page, brochures, press releases, and government relations.
- Finance Committee--Oversees Coalition
budget and financial planning

- To share information and develop
partnerships
for all organizations and persons concerned about homelessness and
housing
in Brown County, Wisconsin
- To advocate to the media, government,
corporate
sources, and the public on behalf of homeless persons, housing, and
support
services
- To identify gaps among providers for
adequate
housing and support services
- To provide a collaborative network to
pursue
and implement grant funding
