New Community Shelter
1.  The New Community Shelter has an opening for a part-time Community Meal Supervisor. This person would work about 15 hours a week, including every other weekend. The job entails supervising and coordinating activities of food preparation, serving meals, kitchen and food pantries, and working closely with volunteers and residents. This person participates in planning menus, preparing food, utilizing food surpluses and leftovers.

You will also work with residents who have been assigned a chore in the kitchen before, during and after meals.  We serve dinner every evening from 5-6 PM.  Additionally, we serve both lunch and dinner every weekend and on holidays.  Lunch is served from 11:30 -12:30 PM.  Your hours will require you arrive at least one hour prior to each meal (depending on the volunteer group and meal), and you will work until all chores are complete in the kitchen and dining room.

2.  The New Community Shelter also seeks
motivated and energetic individuals to help manage the facility every other weekend.  Duties Include security of the facility, providing support to residents, interviewing new residents through the intake process, documenting activities, general maintenance duties and using industrial cleaning equipment. 3.  The New Community Shelter, a shelter with a mission of facilitating empowerment with adults experiencing homelessness, seeks a part-time House Supervisor. House of Hope--Part time support staff (10-15 hours per week)

The St. Vincent de Paul Society in Green Bay is seeking a mature individual with excellent inter-personal skills and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to fill a part-time, every other weekend position at the House of Hope.  Support staff will be responsible for assisting residents in meeting program expectations, answering phones, accepting donations and light housekeeping duties.  EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY for a new grad to gain hands-on experience.  Experience working in a residential housing program and/or with a similar client population preferred.

Position:  Aftercare Program Coordinator
Reports to:  Program Director
Status:  Part-time (20-30 hours per week)

Assist in the development of aftercare program for the purposes of tracking progress and encouraging continued success in post-shelter families.  Coordinate follow-up activities with "graduate" families.  Schedule and carry out home visits.  Report collected data to Program Director.  Assist in training volunteer "Guardian Angels" to help families remain accountable through mentoring.     

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree in social work or related field of study -or- equivalent work experience with homeless, low-income, and/or transitioning families with children.

Executive Director – St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter, Inc.

This full-time, year-round position is responsible for managing the daily operations of St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter, a seasonal overnight shelter for homeless adults, and for facilitating effective provision of services to the homeless population.  The Executive Director will report to the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications required include a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field (Master’s Degree an advantage), five or more years of experience in the field of human services with at least three years of progressive management experience.  Position also requires experience in developing and maintaining a budget, working with low-income and/or homeless populations, and dealing with issues of substance abuse and mental illness.  Valid driver’s license required. 

Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership and professional interpersonal skills, including excellent written/verbal communication and listening skills.  Must be able to maintain confidentiality, interact effectively with other agencies, and speak within a variety of public and private forums.

Integrated Community Services (ICS), (Green Bay) seeks to expand its pool of  mentors for adults in its Family Self Sufficiency program.  Mentors walk with adult men and women who are being served by ICS’ administration of the Housing Choice Voucher Program.
