STATE OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN BROWN COUNTY
Homeless person--a person sleeping in
a place
not meant for human habitation or in an emergency shelter; a person in
transitional
or supportive housing for homeless persons who originally were living
on
the streets (includes cars, parks, campers, etc.), in emergency shelter
or in hotels; a person doubled up in residence with another person.
What is
affordable?—the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development contends that if a
family
is spending more than 30 percent of its income for housing (not
including
utilities), the family is subject to unaffordable housing.
